In reference to your letter of June 23rd

13717/1/33, for which I beg to express the thanks of my

Committee, I am directed to inform you that a Sub-Committee

has been formed to consider the question of the Draft Hong-

kong Foreshore and Sea Bed Works Ordinance further. Its

views will be sent to you as soon as they are available.

Meanwhile, I beg to enclose a copy of a letter

addressed to the Colonial Secretary at Hongkong by the

Hongkong Chamber of Commerce, which has been forwarded to

us by that body.
